Brindavan Gardens, located in the royal city of Mysore in Karnataka state, is one of the most famous gardens in India visited by over two million tourists every year. Built in the year 1932, it is spread over an area of 60 acres adjacent to the Krishnarajasagara dam site. The garden is laid out in three terraces enriched with varieties of water fountains, water channels, lush green lawns, flower beds, shrubs, colorful bougainvillea and ornamental plants.  It is a mesmerizing sight to watch when the whole garden is illuminated. The main attraction of the garden is the musical dancing fountain in which music, light, and water are synchronized to create an enchanting water ballet. You can also enjoy a boat ride in the boating pond in the midst of the garden.

Brindavan Gardens is just 18 km from Mysore city and is easily accessible. The garden is open to the public from 6.30 am to 9 pm and is illuminated every evening. The best time to visit is from September to February.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, the largest Tulip garden of Asia, is created in 2007 to boost the floriculture tourism in Kashmir valley.  Located in Siraj Bagh in Srinagar, it is spread over 12 hectares at the foothills of Zabarban Range, overlooking the picturesque Dal Lake. The garden is adorned with more than 70 varieties of tulips and over 2 million flowers of stunning colors. An annual Tulip Festival is conducted in the month of April every year when thousands of flower lovers from across the world flock to Kashmir to enjoy the greatest spectacle of the garden at its full bloom. The tulip festival is vibrant with cultural programs including Kashmiri folk dance and music, handicrafts exhibition and is also an occasion to enjoy the delicious Kashmir delicacies.

The garden remains open from 9 am to 7 pm every day during March and April. The garden is located at about 8 km from Srinagar city. Srinagar is the closest airport. Jammu is the nearest railway station at 290 km from Srinagar.

Pinjore Gardens, also known as Yadavindra Gardens, is one of the best gardens in India, located in Pinjore village in the State of Haryana. Built in the 17th century in Mughal style during the reign of Aurangzeb, the garden was later refurbished by Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. Legends say that Pandavas stayed here during their exile. Spread over an area of 100 acres the garden has seven terraces with a variety of beautiful flowering plants, numerous fountains, green lawns, shady walkways, orchards, and shrubs. There is a central channel with a huge pavilion at the other end from where the entire garden can be viewed. The garden houses a number of historical monuments, a mini zoo, Japanese garden, nursery, and Jalmahal restaurant amidst a water pool.  Baisaki festival in April and Mango festival in June/July attract a large number of tourists.

The garden is 22 km away from Chandigarh and is easily accessible by road. The nearest domestic airport is Chandigarh and nearest railway station is Kalka. Visiting time is from 7 am to 10 pm. December to March is the best season.

Built during the year 1847 and spread over an area of 55 acres, the Botanical Garden in Ooty in Tamil Nadu is renowned for its amazing natural beauty. There is a canal that runs through the center of the garden, lined with shining pebbles, which is supplied with water from the Dal Lake and is the main water source of the garden. The Light and Music Show held every evening is a major attraction of the garden. Mughal Garden is full of beautiful flowers including varieties of roses, marigold, tulip, viscaria, Sweet William, and bougainvillea. The garden has more than 120 celebrated varieties of roses and most of them are given the name of national and international celebrities. There are four waterways with lotus-shaped red sandstone fountains which are a perfect blend of light, music, and water. This garden of enchanting beauty is open to the public during February-March as per the schedule to be announced every year, when a one month long festival of Udyanotsav is celebrated.

The garden can be reached by bus and metro rail. The nearest metro station is Central Secretariat. The nearest railway station is in New Delhi. Visiting hours are from 10 am to 4 pm on all days except Mondays.

Indian Botanic Garden, also known as the Royal Botanic Garden, was created by the British East India Company in 1787. The garden is renamed as Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden to honor the great scientist Sir J.C. Bose. Spread over an area of 270 acres on the west of River Hugli in Shibpur in Howrah, it is the largest botanic garden in Asia and one of the well-known gardens in India known for its diverse flora.  The main attraction of the garden is the 250-year old Banyan Tree with a circumference of 450 meters, which is considered as the widest tree in the world in terms of the area of the canopy. The garden is a home to a large variety of aquatic plants, multicolored flowers, rare species of water lilies and myriads of trees like orchids, bamboos, screw pine, Shivalinga and Cuban palms. It has a collection of over 12000 specimens of living plants and 2.5 million specimens of dried plants.

The garden is open for public from 10 am to 7 pm. October to March is the ideal time for the visit. Bus and taxi services are available from the nearest railway station at Howrah.
